Presentation of the first couture collection - #Amode - in Zurich during Mode Suisse. The collection explores the theme of creating an empty space. This space has the particularity of being an open work in the sense that it is composed of a space that the viewer can freely interpret.

At the Kunsthaus in Zurich, the #Cartoon couture collection is shown for Mode Suisse. The methodology of stratification is one of the foundations of architecture. From Camillo Sitte to Aldo Rossi, continuity is one of the essential values that leads to the successful construction of a city. Louis Origine radically uses this age-old concept to respond to the need to make fashion more sustainable.

[NOTE: #Cartoon derives from the Italian word CARTONE, which during the Renaissance referred to the cardboard on which artists sketched their works. The #Amode collection is the cardboard on which a narrative image is applied as a lining. This layering allows a young fashion house to build sought-after pieces step by step, avoiding the frenzy of unconditional novelty and the depletion of resources.]

Inspired by the setting of the fashion show at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the #mouvoir collection introduces the notion of movement into the brand's narrative, illustrated by the swimmer from Chuang Tzu who follows “the movements of the water.” It is the search for naturalness in every action.

[NOTE: This collection marks the beginning of the nomadic spirit.]

ovo jacket > Designed for travel, the Ovo jacket is made from wool and cotton, combining the lightness and warmth of natural fibers. Its rigorous cut is an architectural interpretation of the clean lines formed by the cracks in the ice of an alpine glacier. This piece is the expression of Swiss luxury, focusing on the value of the material and the purity of the form.

The first two collections, #Amode (2023) and #Cartoon (2024), are constructed by addition. #Ovo completely deconstructs the sartorial line in order to redefine it. It is a paradigm shift that establishes the material as the fixed element around which the new collection is created. Above all, it is a way of returning to a more respectful attitude towards resources. Every material, whether natural or derived, has an impact on the environment through its transport and manufacture. A credible sustainable strategy requires radical action both at source, when acquiring raw materials, and in the future function of the objects produced, so as not to create dormant objects.

[NOTE: During his stay in Palermo at Palazzo Butera (2024), Swiss artist Aramis Navarro created a work on a T-shirt from Louis Origine. This unique piece is part of the permanent collection under the city of Milan.]
